2-way communication
With the iBaby M2 nanny cam you have 2-way communication, so you can still talk to your children or soothe your crying baby, when you are away from your home. This is a great feature which every parent can appreciate when they have to leave their little ones with a sitter or family member and go to work.
Mains and battery power
There is a 2 hour rechargeable battery, which means that your iBaby monitor doesn’t stop working if there is a power outage at home – a feature that many other nanny cams don’t have (most don’t have this feature).
This also means that you can move the iBaby M2 around your home for up to two hours at a time, without it needing to be plugged into the mains power.
IR night time vision
Your iBaby M2 has an improved high quality, infra-red night vision facility (16 feet), so you can observe your baby easily during the night without needing a light.
Sound and motion alerts
Receive both sound and motion alerts on your smartphone, via either SMS or emails.
This means that once you have set the alert level (so it is not too sensitive for you), you will know whenever your baby cries or is moved – even if you are not using the app at that moment.
You will also be sent an image of your baby when the motion or sound sensors are activated, which you can save to your gallery and share with others.
Easy plug and play setup
All you have to do is download the FREE iBaby monitor view app from the app store and in a few seconds, your mobile device is connected to your iBaby M2 nanny cam.
Multiple users
Up to four people at the same time, using different mobile devices, can monitor your baby using the iBaby M2, which means that you can even have your own parents check in and make sure your baby is safe when you are away.
You can even capture images of your baby and save them to your phone or share them with friends and family.
Anything else?
For mounting you have two options – either wall mounting or stand alone on a dresser or shelf in the nursery and there is a magnetic base to keep the nanny cam stable when mounted.
This iBaby camera does not have a pan and tilt facility and so you cannot move the camera remotely – for this option you need to check out the iBaby M3s or the iBaby M6.

Customer Reviews
Unfortunately online reviews of the iBaby M2 are not too good, as most customers experience ongoing connectivity problems, which is a problem.
In fact, twice as many customers have problems with the iBaby M2, compared to those that are happy with this model.
Conclusion
It seems that you either love or hate the iBaby M2 – there is no middle road with this nanny cam. Even though the setup is said to be very simple, some people still have problems and have ongoing problems with connectivity dropping out frequently.
This is the cheapest model of the iBaby range however, but with only half of customers happy with the iBaby M2, it might not be the best nanny cam for you. Check out my other nanny cam reviews, before you make your final decision.
